Qualification

The qualification package is a deliverable, not an afterthought.

Evidence is produced in sequence and handed over as a controlled package your authority can review.

01

Requirements

Mission, power profile, mass and CG limits, reserve policy, environment and qualification authority captured as verifiable requirements.

02

Safety

Hazard analysis, FMEA, leak response, emergency states and shutdown logic defined before hardware is committed.

03

Bench

Thermal characterization, power quality, purge behavior and fault injection across the declared operating envelope.

04

Environment

Altitude, hot and cold soak, vibration, shock and EMI/EMC testing against the agreed test levels.

05

Flight

Instrumented ground runs, staged envelope expansion and mission demonstration on the target aircraft.

06

Configuration

Approved BOM, software baseline, interface control document and acceptance test procedure under change control.

Preliminary. Test levels, scope and evidence format are subject to customer-specific analysis and the requirements of the nominated qualification authority.

Who owns the evidence

The aircraft-specific configuration, interface control document, test records and acceptance data are delivered to you in full. H₂AS retains its background intellectual property and the reusable methods, tooling and control software that make the next integration faster. Data rights are agreed in writing before Phase 1 begins — not after.

Environmental option

Extended envelope option

Commercial UAV fuel-cell modules are typically published to a narrower environmental envelope than sustained defense operations demand. High desert, mountain and winter missions fall outside it.

H₂AS is developing a qualification option targeting −20 to +50 °C and 5,000 m, pursued jointly with the module supplier. Extending a qualified envelope requires the supplier's engineering participation, and we scope it that way from the start.
